Daughter

My dearest friend is the same age as me and also belongs to our large Ostheimer family. She doesn't have a pink dress like me, but a bright yellow one and sometimes she envies me for my blonde hair - just as I envy her for her beautiful dark hair. We both think we're pretty big, even if the big boys always call us "the little ones." They should see how we help the grandmother feed the chickens or the farmer's wife with the pigs!
