Dance Away in the Garden
Dance Away in the Garden captures the quiet magic of childhood play where gardens become kingdoms and fairies are always just out of sight. Between hand drawn vines, you’ll find mischievous riders, oversized blooms, and the flutter of wings, all carved using traditional woodblock techniques.
This design is rooted in the kind of play that happens when no one’s watching. The stories children make for themselves, the creatures they imagine, and the corners of the garden that feel secret even. A wallpaper that celebrates both the wild and the gentle sides of the outdoors.

STORY BEHIND DANCE AWAY IN THE GARDEN
Part of Annika Reed Studio’s Upstairs Downstairs collection, Dance Away in the Garden belongs to the Upstairs chapter—four designs that capture the wonder of childhood play. Inspired by secret gardens, folklore, and the thrill of finding something hidden just for you, this wallpaper brings a sense of soft mischief and outdoor magic to the everyday.
In our house, the fairies are more mischievous than sweet. They pinch petals, ride horses, and dart between the plants when no one’s looking. Dance Away in the Garden brings that slightly wild energy indoors. Hand-carved in my Somerset studio, it’s a celebration of garden folklore, imagination, and the stories children grow for themselves.
